Selected Artist: London 2026

Alexandra Diez de Rivera

Alexandra Diez de Rivera is a Spanish artist based between London and Madrid. Her work explores memory, psychology, human rituals and the passage of time through photography. Working with large-format film, cameraless processes, light painting and other experimental techniques, she investigates the emotional and historical weight of spaces and objects marked by the passage of people and time. Vacant interiors, antique garments and forgotten objects serve as reflections on absence, identity, performance and remembrance. Diez de Rivera holds an MA in Fine Art Photography from the Royal College of Art, London, and a postgraduate degree in Communication and Graphic Design from Central Saint Martins.
In 2026, her solo exhibition, Theatres of the Mind, was selected for the official OFF programme of PHotoESPAÑA and presented at Espacio Valverde, Madrid. Her work has been exhibited internationally, including at the Saatchi Gallery, Flowers Gallery and the Royal West of England Academy. Her photographs have been featured in Vanity Fair, FT Magazine, Vogue, Der Greif, Le Point and Expansión Fuera de Serie, and are held in private collections across Europe and the United States.
