Amelia Badenoch

Amelia Badenoch is a London-based painter working primarily with oil paint and charcoal on linen. Badenoch explores themes of heritage and belonging through nature. Her line of investigation is taken distinctly from fragmented tree structures that draw upon the ‘psychogeographical’ landscapes of her multicultural heritage from India, Scotland and England.

Within her practice, she explores the relationship between drawing and painting, allowing material tension, layered surfaces and ambiguity to become active elements within the work. Badenoch has recently graduated with an MA in Painting from The Royal College of Art and has exhibited around the UK. Her work is held internationally in private collections.
