Selected Artist: London 2026

Ditte Blohm

Ditte Blohm is a Danish artist based in London whose practice centres on hand-built clay sculpture alongside painting. Working with the softness and immediacy of clay, she shapes expressive, tactile forms that hold emotion and lived experience. Her work draws from the intimacy of domestic life as a mother and partner. Everyday feelings surface in unexpected ways: a destroyed face for the grief of her father's Alzheimer's diagnosis, an odd octopus from a film watched with her sons, or a drought in her sex life. Nothing is too mundane or too tender to find its way in. What makes her work dynamic and special are the processes she uses.
She follows her intuition without planning or judging what comes out. The result is work that is confessional, raw and often uncomfortable. She trained at Kolding School of Design in Denmark and the Willem de Kooning Academy in the Netherlands. Recent highlights include her first solo exhibition at Outhouse Gallery. Her work was exhibited and sold during London Craft Week at Christie’s in 2025 and at Sotheby’s in 2026 alongside features in The New York Times, The World of Interiors, House & Garden, and ELLE Decoration.
