Edyta, artist at Fair Play Art Fair 2026

Selected Artist: London 2026

Edyta

Edyta is a multidisciplinary artist working primarily across painting, printmaking, and language. Her practice explores how images, stories, emotions, and beliefs repeat and change over time. The inspiration for her works comes from history, art history, photojournalism, and movement such as dance.
Drawing on printmaking as well as Chinese and Japanese painting traditions, Edyta works mainly with ink. She treats each piece as a conversation — a mark made with ink on raw canvas or paper cannot be undone, just like a word spoken cannot be unsaid. Rather than offering definitive narratives, her work invites viewers into the space of the image, their interpretations equally valid, regardless of what inspired the painting.
Originally from a 300-person village in Upper Silesia, Poland, Edyta was educated in Italy and the US before settling in London, where she is currently based. She graduated from the Royal College of Art with an MA in Painting (2026) and Contemporary Art Practice (2024).
Edyta’s work is held in private collections in Europe and the U.S. She has previously exhibited in the UK, Italy, and Poland. Her sound work was featured at Tate Modern’s Tate Lates.
