Eleanor Turnbull
Eleanor Turnbull is a British sculptor and gardener based in Cornwall, UK. Casting directly from the landscape itself, Eleanor redefines mould-making as a playful and exploratory technology for looking. Through documenting rockpools, puddles, patterns, and behaviours, Eleanor creates a living archive that questions our connection – subconsciously, ecologically and geographically – to the land.
In 2022 Eleanor graduated with an MFA in Fine Art from The Slade School of Fine Art. Eleanor is a Sarabande scholar, an ACME studio awardee, and an Ingram Prize Finalist. Her work is exhibited internationally and was recently supported by the Freelands Foundation.
