Selected Artist: London 2026
Erin Bird
Erin Bird is a UK-based American artist. Her large-scale paintings begin as photographs subjected to water — a process she calls waterprinting. Recent exhibitions include Shelter at Galleri Christoffer Egelund, Copenhagen (2025); the Jackson's Art Prize at Bankside Gallery, London (2024); and the Ballinglen Museum of Art Biennial, Ireland (2023). Her solo exhibition Wrapped in Light was presented in London in 2023. Bird holds an MA from the Royal College of Art and a BA from Camberwell College of Arts.
Her work is held in the collections of Fontainebleau Las Vegas, 40 Leadenhall, London, and The Set at Hudson Yards, New York, and in private collections in London, New York, Los Angeles and Paris. “Water takes hundreds of years to transform, my work holds the hope of a similar change — that through the slow, patient erosion of my past, something new can gradually emerge.”
