Selected Artist: London 2026

Marina Priyomova

Marina Priyomova (b. 1989, Ukraine) is an artist based in London, working across painting, objects, and installation. She works on burlap, a material rooted in Ukrainian agrarian culture. It is connected to the earth, fertility, and the memory of generations, not simply a surface but a carrier of meaning and history. She completed a BA in Fine Art at the British Higher School of Art and Design in 2019, and is currently undertaking an MA in Painting at the Royal College of Art, London (2025–2026). Her recent achievements include being shortlisted for CREA Venice (2026) and selected as a finalist for the Prisma Art Prize (2026), alongside features and interviews in Curatory Magazine (2025), Suboart Magazine (2025), Artit (2025), Culturally Art Collective (2025), ArtsInSquare Magazine (2025), and AL-TIBA9 Magazine (2025).
