Fair Play Curates Artist: London 2026
Nicole Rose
Nicole Rose is a British artist and colourist whose practice explores emotion, memory, and landscape. Working in oil, she blends layers of colour to evoke a sense of place and mood, her work suspended between reality and daydream. Nicole's work spans abstract oil paintings and limited edition prints, linked by a continuous process in which each informs the other. Her prints are not reproductions, but remixes, reworked digitally from photographs of finished paintings to intensify colour and distort form.
Nicole graduated from Central Saint Martins in 1992 with a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design. Following a career as a Creative Director running her own consultancy, she now paints full-time, her design background remaining present in her attention to symmetry, balance, and colour. Nicole’s work is exhibited at galleries and fairs internationally, and is held in private and corporate collections globally, with recent commissions including Chancery Rosewood and Baccarat Hotel Rome.
