Orlando Seale, artist at Fair Play Art Fair 2026

Selected Artist: London 2026

Orlando Seale

Orlando Seale’s practice moves between painting and performance, between a devotional attention to the animate world and an engagement with the images and figures that rise up in dreams and myth. Drawing on his rich career as a performer and his exploration of the creative unconscious, Orlando dialogues with the dream figures, dancing them, singing and eventually painting them. It is his hope that the tension in his work between the inner and outer and between form and abstraction echoes the quivering, unsteady union of spirit and matter. London-based, Orlando studied literature at Oxford University and acting at the Conservatoire National Supérieur d’Art Dramatique and the École Philippe Gaulier in Paris.
He completed a two-year diploma in ‘Integral movement and performance practice’ at the Arthaus in Berlin, where he now teaches creative practice. As an actor he has performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company, played stages from London’s West End to BAM in New York, as well as appearing in numerous films and television shows. He has written and released albums and toured with his music, and continues to integrate music into the performance pieces he creates. His paintings have been exhibited internationally and are held in private collections.
