Fair Play Curates Artist: London 2026

Rabiya Nagi

Rabiya Nagi is a London-based artist whose painting practice explores how personal and collective memory shape our understanding of the present. Drawing on fleeting observations, photography, film, literature and art history, she constructs ambiguous scenes in which memory and imagination intersect. Her paintings hover between recognition and uncertainty, often creating an uncanny sense of dislocation infused with the surreal, and inviting viewers to question how we see, remember and interpret images.
Nagi graduated with an MA Fine Art from Central Saint Martins in 2023, following a Graduate Diploma from the Royal College of Art. Her work has been exhibited in London and internationally, including at Tate Modern, Lethaby Gallery and University of Lethbridge Art Gallery, Canada. Recent exhibitions include Corps Exquis at The Assembly Room and Meanwhile, Here at BOTH Gallery. Alongside her studio practice, Nagi is active in artist-led exhibition-making and curating.

Fair Play is a new, curated, artist-first fair, designed to connect outstanding independent artists with engaged collectors and a new generation of art buyers. Join us at One Marylebone from 15-18 October. The general sale Advance price is £24.
