Ross Hansen
Ross Hansen makes paintings 'in the simulation', mining the possibilities of reproduction in a never-ending continuum of art making. His diverse output is connected by a consistent questioning of the nature of creativity and originality. Hansen studied at Newcastle University and The Slade School of Fine Art, University College London. He has had solo exhibitions in the UK, Belgium and France including at Le Manoir de Mouthier-Haute-Pierre centre d’art, FR and Stephane Simoens Contemporary Fine Art, Knokke, BE.
Recent group shows include: Gavlak, Florida, US; Musée Régional d’Art Contemporain, Sérignan, FR; Museum of Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts, PR China; l’École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture, Montpellier, FR. His work is held in public and private collections including FRAC Occitanie Montpellier and UBS Warburg. He lives and works in East London.
