Selected Artist: London 2026

Sabrina Brouwers

Sabrina Brouwers is an Italian-German abstract artist based in London whose practice explores the relationship between geometry, materiality and perception. Drawing inspiration from architecture and design principles, she creates minimalist, non-objective compositions that investigate the psychological impact of visual simplicity. Working with charcoal, raw linen, aluminium and reflective materials, Sabrina begins each painting with a mathematically constructed grid that echoes the ordered systems of the built environment. Through an intuitive process of layering, erasing and refinement, these precise structures are gradually disrupted, creating a dialogue between control and spontaneity, softness and rigidity.
Her work invites moments of stillness, encouraging viewers to engage with the quiet complexity of simple forms. Brouwers holds a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from Falmouth University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Graphic Design from Chelsea College of Arts, UAL. Her multidisciplinary background informs an approach that bridges analytical design thinking with contemporary painting.
