Shirin Fathi

Shirin Fathi is an Iranian interdisciplinary artist and curator whose research-led practice explores Iranian mythology, gender, beauty, ritual, and cultural memory. Working across photography, sculpture, installation, and performance, she creates fictional characters rooted in myth and historical archives to question inherited narratives around identity, power, and transformation, often using her own body to explore how archetypes can be reimagined.
Her work has been exhibited internationally at venues including the Wellcome Collection, the V&A, CCCB Barcelona, Khoj International Artists’ Association in Delhi, and Gallery 44 in Toronto. Her work has been featured in The Guardian, Wallpaper, the BBC, The Observer, and The i Paper.
