Tallulah Hutson

Tallulah Hutson is a figurative oil painter focused on the body in movement. Through ambiguous depictions of dancing figures in heightened states, Hutson interrogates contemporary experiences of escapism, grief, ecstasy, defiance, and despair. Her work examines the interplay between these emotions, particularly in response to sound. She questions ideas of hedonism in nightlife, reflecting on the role of release in transformation, acceptance and how we reckon with our realities today.
Tallulah trained in figure drawing and portraiture at Charles H. Cecil Studios, Florence, Italy, before graduating from the Royal College of Art, London, in 2025 (MA Painting). Her work was shown at the National Portrait Gallery, London, in the Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer Portrait Award 2025. She has exhibited in several other shows across the UK, Paris and Mexico City. Tallulah Hutson continues to evolve her practice from her studio with The Bomb Factory Art Foundation, London.
