These works take a bolder and more playful approach, using stronger forms and a heightened sense of character while continuing to explore the dualities that run through the wider series. Softness sits alongside firmness, seriousness alongside humour, and restraint alongside spontaneity. Through this tension, the works reflect the shifting and often contradictory nature of human experience, where different moods, energies and states of being can coexist within the same space.
